In 2015 Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Athletic Therapy) from the University of Winnipeg and shortly after went on to certify as an Athletic Therapist. Lisa is a Certified Sport First Responder and has completed continuing education course work in Mulligan Concept Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, and Fall Prevention in older adults.

Lisa believes that exercise-based treatment supported by evidence is the foundation of injury rehabilitation. During an injury assessment, Lisa will effectively communicate your assessment findings and ensure you always know the “why” behind your treatment plan. Lisa excels at bridging the gap from injury rehab to performance and her patients often return to sport or leisure activities stronger and more confident than pre-injury.

People who work with Lisa range from injured athletes of all skill levels to everyday office workers with back pain to older adults who want to learn how to build muscle and prevent falls. Those injured in a car accident or at work who have an MPI or WCB claim can also benefit from Athletic Therapy treatment.

Lisa’s passion for athleticism and health developed through her involvement in rhythmic gymnastics at a young age. After years of competing at a provincial level, she went on to become a coach and national level judge. You can still find her sitting behind the judge’s table at competitions in Winnipeg and across Canada.

During time away from work, Lisa loves to travel and has made her way (often as a solo traveller) to over 15 countries. Her most memorable and challenging trip was trekking Everest Base Camp.
